This article takes you through the process of Accepting and/or Rejecting your online digital proofs, as well as, replacing your files after you have rejected a proof.
Accepting & Rejecting a Proof
If you have requested a PDF Soft Proof of your job during the quoting process, an email will be sent to the contact that was chosen for the soft proof, once your file has passed the preflight process. This contact could be you or a team member.
The email you receive should look similar to the one below.
In the email, click the link/button to go to your online proof.
We have included both a link AND a button as sometimes, email programs will strip out shapes and images, like buttons.
Just click which ever works for you.
This will open a new tab in your browser showing the proof screen. On the left side, there should be a thumbnail image of your file. If your job has more than one section/file uploaded - for example, a Book with a Cover and an Inside Text file, there will be two proof modules showing.
On the right side, click Review Proof.
Your low-res proof will start to download and a pop-up window will appear.
You can view your proof in your downloads folder on your computer. Once you have looked it over thoroughly, go back to the pop-up window and choose to either Reject or Approve, then click Confirm.
If the pop-up window has disappeared, click the Review Proof button again to activate.
If you select Reject, you will then be asked to input a reason why you have rejected your proof, which you can note down.
If you are updating the artwork yourself, you can upload it to the Supporting Files area and then click Confirm.
If we are updating the file for you, just note the changes and click Confirm.
Once completed the area will turn red and two options will appear on the right-hand side.
Our team will be notified that your file needs updating within the job.
The new artwork will then go through the preflight process again and a new proof will be sent.
What is Preflight? After you've uploaded a file to a job and confirmed, your file will go through Preflight. This is an automated process that does some general ‘file checking', and will let you know if your file is ok to go to print.
