Spot Colour Swatch
It is important to ensure your start number is set up correctly, otherwise you may have the same number printed on every page. The easiest way to do this is to use our InDesign templates, however, if you don't have access to these please set up your start number swatch colour to the below requirements.
1. Create a new swatch colour
2. Name the swatch "Start Number". This name must be exact.
3. Set the Colour Type to Spot.
4. Set the Colour Mode to CMYK
5. You can set the colour breakdown to what you would like, but if you are after our standard red or black colour, use the below colour breakdown.
- Red: Cyan: 0%, Magenta: 100%, Yellow: 100%, Black: 0%.
- Black: Cyan: 0%, Magenta: 0%, Yellow: 0%, Black: 100%
6. Save these changes and apply the swatch colour to your start number.
Start Number
You do not need to type the actual start number on your artwork, just set the position where you would like it printed. Instead type between 4-7 'X's.
Eg: XXXXXX - You will get an opportunity to update the start number in Print IQ when you place your order.
This will then auto-fill into your Start Number text box during Imposition. Whatever you put into this box will appear as your Start Number, so please only input numbers, no extra notes or text. It’s done this way so that when it comes time to reorder vouchers, you just need to update the quote and not the artwork.
The number will be printed using Arial Bold and you can choose a size between 16-20pt.
